NAMPA, ID – Authorities are searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting Friday morning in Nampa.

According to the Nampa Police Department, dispatchers received multiple reports of gunfire around 9:10 a.m. on August 8 in the parking lot of a hotel in the 4100 block of East Flamingo Avenue. Responding officers found an adult male deceased from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Police say the victim was known to the suspect.

Before officers arrived, the suspect fled in a black 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche with Idaho license plate 2CBW24P. He was last seen heading northbound on Garrity Boulevard from Flamingo Avenue just minutes after the first 911 call.

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Saengutone Ty Maria of Nampa. He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police warn that Maria should be considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately rather than approach him.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. The investigation remains ongoing.
