KOOSKIA, ID – A crash involving a passenger car and a commercial vehicle occurred Thursday afternoon on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 118, east of Lowell.

Kooskia Ambulance and the Kooskia Fire Department were dispatched at about 4:04 p.m. Crews arrived to find one occupant who had been extricated from the vehicle by bystanders.

The patient was transported by Kooskia Ambulance to the Kooskia Airport, where they were transferred to a Life Flight Network helicopter for transport to a medical facility.

No additional details on the patient’s condition or the cause of the collision were immediately available.
