Kooskia Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Marijuana, and Open Container Charges

KOOSKIA, ID – An Idaho County deputy conducting a traffic stop in Kooskia on Tuesday afternoon arrested a 29-year-old woman on multiple drug-related charges.

According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the stop occurred on August 19, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m. While the deputy was speaking with the driver, K9 Millie arrived to perform an open-air sniff and alerted on the vehicle.

Deputies reported that Sophia Webber was taken into custody and booked on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and misdemeanor open container of alcohol by a driver.

The sheriff’s office noted that all individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
