COLFAX, WA – A 21-year-old Malden man has pleaded guilty to communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
Levi Anderson pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor count in Whitman County District court Friday. In the plea agreement the prosecutor’s office reduced the charge from a felony.

Anderson was arrested by the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office in late June for texting a picture of his penis to a 15 year old girl. Anderson admitted to deputies that he sent the image while he was drunk.

Judge Roger Sandberg acting as District Court Commissioner released Anderson from jail and ordered him to wear a device that will detect if he drinks alcohol. He must wear the device for 150 days and if he drinks Anderson will face a potential 6 month jail term.

Judge Sandberg also ordered Anderson to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and comply with all treatment recommendations. He was placed on probation for two years and cannot contact his victim for two years. Anderson must also register as a sex offender for 10 years. He has been in jail since his arrest.
