CLEARWATER COUNTY, ID – A single-vehicle crash involving a loaded log truck temporarily closed Grangemont Road early Tuesday morning.

According to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. on August 26 at milepost 9. Deputies and the Orofino Fire Department responded after the truck failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and overturned.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Nicholas Morgan of Orofino, was not injured in the crash. Authorities said the roadway was blocked while crews worked to remove the vehicle and clear debris. Grangemont Road reopened to traffic at 5:45 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to use caution on rural roads, especially during overnight and early morning hours.
