TWIN FALLS, ID – The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of a 19-year-old male from the Snake River on Sunday after responding to reports of a possible drowning near the Twin Falls Dam.

Deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Dive Team were dispatched to the scene Sunday afternoon. Using side scan sonar, deputies located the individual in the water. Divers entered the river and made a successful recovery Sunday evening.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the family and friends of the victim, asking the community to keep them in their thoughts during this time.
