MOSCOW, ID — The University of Idaho is gearing up for a week of school spirit, community events and football as Homecoming returns Sunday through Saturday, Oct. 5–11.
This year’s theme, “Holla Back!,” chosen by students, takes Vandals back to the early 2000s — when flip phones snapped shut, iPods topped wish lists, skateboards filled the streets and pop-punk music dominated playlists. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and the Moscow community are invited to join in the celebration.

Key events include the Tap the Keg Craft Brew Festival on Friday, Oct. 10, followed by the Serpentine, Vandal Rally, and the ICCU Homecoming Fireworks Show at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome. The festivities continue Saturday, Oct. 11, with the Homecoming Parade in downtown Moscow, the Vandal Village tailgate and pre-game party at ICCU Arena Plaza, and the Vandal Football game against Northern Colorado at 2 p.m. inside the Kibbie Dome.
This year’s parade grand marshals are alumni Bill Kearns (’81) and Clint Marshall (’97), honored for their leadership as co-chairs of the university’s Brave. Bold. Unstoppable. philanthropic campaign. Their guidance helped U of I surpass its fundraising goal of $500 million eight months early, with $520 million raised to date. The campaign — the largest in Idaho’s history — continues through the end of the year.
Homecoming Committee President Braydyn Proctor praised the student-led effort:
“What makes University of Idaho Homecoming so special is that it’s completely student-led, and our team has embraced that tradition with energy and creativity. We can’t wait to share this week with the Vandal Family and create opportunities for everyone to reconnect with what makes being a Vandal so special.”
