LC State’s Jack DeWenter Accepted into National Emerging Leaders Program

LEWISTON, ID — Lewis-Clark State College Assistant Controller Jack DeWenter has been accepted into the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Emerging Leaders Program, which develops leadership skills among higher education business professionals.

According to NACUBO, the program helps participants strengthen leadership abilities, foster cross-campus collaboration, and expand their professional networks. It is designed for business officers seeking advancement in higher education and focuses on leadership development, communication, and understanding the evolving business landscape of academia.

DeWenter joined LC State in April 2023 and has served as both assistant controller and interim controller. He began his accounting and finance career in 2012 and most recently worked as a fiscal analyst at Washington State University before joining LC State.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington, a master’s in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School, and a master’s degree in accountancy from Boise State University. DeWenter is also a certified management accountant and is currently pursuing his CPA license.
