LEWISTON, ID – A new study has found that Idaho ranks first in the nation for property value increases over the past decade.
According to research from Cinch Home Services, which analyzed Zillow’s Home Value Index from 2015 to 2025, Idaho’s average property value rose by 156 percent during that period — the highest increase in the country. The state also recorded its largest single-year jump between 2021 and 2022, when home values increased by 29.4 percent.

Utah ranked second with a 128.4 percent rise in property values over the decade, followed by Washington at 127.1 percent, Florida at 125.3 percent, and Nevada at 124.4 percent.
Rounding out the top ten were Georgia, Tennessee, Maine, New Hampshire, and Arizona. Louisiana recorded the smallest overall increase, at 23.4 percent.
A spokesperson for Cinch Home Services said the findings highlight how housing markets vary by region rather than moving uniformly nationwide. The spokesperson also noted that the largest value gains across all states occurred between 2021 and 2022.
