IHSAA Announces 2025 Fall Sports Academic State Champions

IDAHO – The Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) has announced the 2025 Fall Sports Academic State Champions, recognizing varsity teams across Idaho that achieved the highest cumulative grade point averages in their classifications. The awards, sponsored by First Federal Bank, honor student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

Academic Excellence Across Fall Sports

The list of top academic teams spans multiple sports, from soccer and football to cross country, volleyball, swimming, and golf.

  • Girls Soccer: Timberline (6A, 3.864 GPA), Moscow (5A, 3.826 GPA), Snake River (4A, 3.810 GPA)
  • Boys Soccer: Highland (6A, 3.643 GPA), Century (5A, 3.591 GPA), Grangeville (4A, 3.700 GPA)
  • Girls Cross Country: Highland (6A, 3.975 GPA), Preston (5A, 4.000 GPA), McCall-Donnelly (4A, 3.972 GPA), West Side (3A, 3.990 GPA), Butte County (2A, 3.928 GPA)
  • Boys Cross Country: Meridian (6A, 3.896 GPA), Blackfoot (5A, 3.999 GPA), Sugar-Salem (4A, 3.830 GPA), Nampa Christian (3A, 3.827 GPA), Victory Charter (2A, 3.869 GPA)
  • Football: Timberline (6A, 3.484 GPA), Bishop Kelly (5A, 3.576 GPA), Sugar-Salem (4A, 3.520 GPA), Nampa Christian (3A, 3.632 GPA), Kendrick (2A, 3.550 GPA), Rockland (1A, 3.796 GPA)
  • Volleyball: Madison (6A, 3.915 GPA), Bonneville (5A, 3.932 GPA), Kimberly (4A, 3.861 GPA), Soda Springs (3A, 3.900 GPA), Oakley (2A, 3.960 GPA), Leadore (1A, 3.913 GPA)
  • Girls Swimming: Mountain View (6A, 3.905 GPA), Century (5A, 3.970 GPA)
  • Boys Swimming: Timberline (6A, 3.859 GPA), Minico (5A, 3.955 GPA)
  • Girls Golf: Borah (6A, 3.971 GPA), Jerome (5A, 3.900 GPA)
  • Boys Golf: Meridian (6A, 3.934 GPA), Twin Falls (5A, 3.854 GPA)

Honoring Student Commitment

The IHSAA’s Academic State Champions program highlights the commitment of Idaho’s high school athletes who balance demanding athletic schedules with academic achievement. “Congratulations to these student-athletes for their academic achievement and commitment to excellence through activities,” the organization stated in its release.

Schools earning top honors will be recognized by the IHSAA and First Federal Bank for their scholastic success during the 2025 fall season.
