Lane Closures Begin Wednesday on US-95 Near Grangeville for Roadway Testing

GRANGEVILLE, ID – Drivers traveling on U.S. Highway 95 near Grangeville should plan for short delays beginning Thursday, October 9, as the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) conducts roadway testing ahead of resurfacing projects planned for next year.

Crews will close one lane of traffic between milepost 241 and 251 in the Johnston Road area to perform geotechnical drilling. Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions, and delays are expected to be under 15 minutes. Work is anticipated to continue through Saturday, October 11, weather permitting.

The testing will provide ITD engineers with data to guide future road improvement plans along this stretch of highway.

Motorists are encouraged to plan extra travel time and check the Idaho 511 app or 511.idaho.gov for the latest updates on traffic conditions and construction schedules.
