Burn Ban Along Snake River In Southern Whitman County Will Be Lifted On Oct 10

WHITMAN COUNTY, WA – The burn ban along the Snake River in Southern Whitman County will be lifted on October 10th.

The annual campfire ban from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers runs from June 10th through October 10th.  It bans burning at the agency’s recreational sites along the river.

This summer, Whitman County Fire District 14 out of Colton/Uniontown expanded the annual burn ban.  The volunteer fire department placed a burn ban on the canyon lands between the breaks and Wawawai Road.  That burn ban will also be lifted on October 10th.
