LEWISTON, ID – More than 250 guests gathered at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge for The Idaho Foodbank’s annual “A Seat at the Table” fundraising dinner, an evening celebrating local generosity and introducing the organization’s new North Central Regional Director, Hy’D Andrews.
The culinary-themed event featured appetizers, a three-course meal prepared by local chefs, and a “Black Box Challenge,” where chefs competed to craft the most flavorful appetizer using regional ingredients. Guests also participated in raffles and auctions, helping raise funds for The Idaho Foodbank’s programs supporting children, families, and individuals across North Central Idaho.
According to the organization, The Idaho Foodbank provided enough food for over 21 million meals in the last fiscal year, with 92% of its revenue coming from philanthropy. Sponsors of the event included AgWest Farm Credit, Sysco, Agri Beef, Rivaura Estate Vineyards & Winery, and River Ranch Co. Brewing.
Hy’D Andrews, who previously served as Development Coordinator for North Central Idaho, steps into her new leadership role with a background in fundraising, marketing, and community engagement. She also serves on several local boards, including the Clearwater Economic Development Association and LC State College’s Hospitality Technical Advisory Committee.
“Hy’D brings a collaborative leadership style, genuine commitment to helping communities and individuals, and strategic focus that aligns perfectly with our organizational goals,” said Randy Ford, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. “We’re excited for Hy’D to continue strengthening community relationships and guiding this incredible team toward even greater regional impact.”
The new regional director role was created to enhance statewide collaboration and better address the growing needs of Idaho communities.
