CLEARWATER, ID — The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two small female chocolate Labrador Retrievers were found dead on a trail off Jericho Road, east of Clearwater.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the remains were discovered on October 9, 2025. Both dogs appeared to have been shot in the head and neither was wearing a collar. Investigators believe the dogs were killed at the location within 48 hours of being found.
