CLARKSTON, WA — The Asotin County Rural Library District will host two more community forums this week for residents to learn about the upcoming library levy lid lift proposal on the November 4, 2025 ballot.
The forums are scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. at the Asotin County Library on Sycamore Street. Library Director Jennifer Ashby will present information on the levy request, outline what the changes would mean for the district, and take questions from those in attendance. Two forums were previously held earlier this month.
This ballot measure marks the first time in 16 years that the district has asked voters to consider a levy lid lift. If approved, the levy rate would be restored to 50 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value, with funds supporting programs, services, and library hours.
The informational events are open to all community members at no cost. Additional details, including a copy of the Board Resolution and a list of frequently asked questions, can be found on the library’s website.
