LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College will host a grand opening for its new Workforce Training (WFT) location at 410 Main Street in downtown Lewiston on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 5–7 p.m.
The public is invited to tour the new facility, which includes meeting and video-conference spaces available for rent. Light appetizers will be served.
LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said the move strengthens the college’s connection to the community.
“This strategic relocation to downtown Lewiston will increase visibility and collaboration, and help us better support the workforce needs of our community,” Pemberton said.
Now located on the ground floor of Clearwater Hall, WFT sits alongside the Small Business Development Center, Adult Learning Center, and Center for Arts & History. The relocation aims to make workforce programs more visible and accessible.
Provost Fred Chilson said the new site enhances partnerships between education and local employers.
“By moving downtown, we’re strengthening the bridge between education, industry, and community,” Chilson said.
Serving about 1,700 students annually, LC State’s Workforce Training offers courses in Excel, professional certifications, and customized contract training for businesses.
