MOSES LAKE, WA – Detectives with the Moses Lake Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit (SCU), working in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), have seized a large cache of drugs, firearms, and cash as part of a narcotics trafficking investigation.
The joint operation began late Tuesday night when officers conducted a traffic stop targeting individuals suspected of distributing fentanyl powder. Two people were detained at the scene. Investigators then executed multiple search warrants, uncovering a substantial amount of illegal substances and weapons.
Authorities report that the seizures included approximately 2.5 pounds of fentanyl powder, around 3,000 fentanyl-laced pills, over 4 ounces of cocaine, as well as LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and methamphetamine. Detectives also recovered four firearms and more than $100,000 in cash believed to be tied to drug sales.
Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, officials have not yet released additional information, including the names of those detained. The Moses Lake Police Department stated that further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
