PULLMAN, WA – The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for much of the Inland Northwest, remaining in effect until 2 p.m. PST Tuesday, November 11. The advisory covers areas across eastern Washington and north Idaho, including Pullman, Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Bonners Ferry, Sandpoint, and Colfax.
Meteorologists report visibility reduced to one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions. Commuters are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance between vehicles.
The advisory area includes the Washington Palouse, Upper Columbia Basin, Spokane Area, Northern Panhandle, and Coeur d’Alene region, as well as communities such as Davenport, Cheney, Ephrata, Oakesdale, and Priest River.
The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency officials are reminding drivers to remain alert, especially along rural highways and low-lying valleys where fog tends to persist.
Conditions are expected to gradually improve by early afternoon as temperatures rise and visibility increases.
