CORVALLIS, OR – No. 18 LC State Volleyball had a record number of All-Cascade Conference honorees on Thursday when four Warriors earned conference accolades. Juliauna Forgach Aguilar was named First-Team All-CCC for the third time in her career, Ella Stosich earned second-team honors and Teagan Scott and Karissa Lindner were voted All-CCC Honorable Mention.
“I’m incredibly proud of this group and the recognition they’ve earned from the Cascade Conference,” coach Katie Palmer said. “Juliauna, Ella, Teagan and Karissa have each made a tremendous impact on our program and in this league. These honors reflect their individual excellence but also reflect how well our entire program prepares one another to be considered top performers in the most competitive conference in the country.”
Forgach Aguilar will leave LC State as one of the most prolific offensive threats in program history. With 1,322 kills to her name, the senior ranks fifth all-time at LC State in that category and her name is dotted throughout the single match and single season records. The outside hitter is second in the conference currently with 4.22 kills per set which ranks eighth in the NAIA. She is third in the CCC in total kills with 363 and has had a career season at the net with 64 total blocks. With more postseason play on the horizon, Forgach Aguilar is averaging 4.63 points per set and 1.14 digs per set.
“Juliauna has been one of the most dynamic and reliable offensive players in the CCC, consistently carrying a heavy load for us,” Palmer said. “She’s truly one of one. She has left her mark on this program on and off the court as one of the LC State Volleyball greats.”
Stosich sits at the top of the ranks in the Cascade Conference in digs per set with 4.49 and is third in total digs with 386. The sophomore libero leads the Warriors in service aces this season with 30 and dishes out 0.70 assists per set.
Scott is at the top of the leaderboard in assists per set in the conference with 8.65 and has dished out 709 total assists. The sophomore setter added to the offense with 44 kills and did her part on defense with 1.84 digs per set and 37 blocks.
Lindner is putting together a solid career as one of the top middle blockers in the conference. The junior is third in the Cascade so far this season with 1.28 blocks per set which ranks 15th in the NAIA. She has a career-best 109 blocks this year with 101 being assists, and both rank in the top 10 in single season at LC State. Her 262 blocks in her career also ranks in the top 10. Offensively, Lindner is averaging 1.44 kills per set with a team-best .290 attack percentage.
“Ella has been the backbone of our floor defense, leading the conference in digs per set and setting the tone with her relentless effort and competitiveness,” Palmer added. “Teagan has led the conference in assists per set, running our offense with poise and precision well beyond her years. And, last but not least, Karissa has been a breakout performer in the middle, giving us stability and efficiency offensively. She has also put tremendous pressure on opponents with her block.”
The four all-conference honorees are the most for LC State since the Warriors joined the Cascade Conference in 2020.
“I’m excited we have three of four honorees continuing their journey as Warriors beyond this season,” Palmer said. “The future is bright for LC State Volleyball.”
