LC State Leaders and Alumni Recognized in 2025 Idaho 500 List

LEWISTON, ID — Lewis-Clark State College President Cynthia Pemberton, College Advancement Director Jennie Jones Hall, and three LC State alumni were included in this year’s Idaho 500, an annual statewide recognition published by the Idaho Business Review honoring influential professionals across Idaho.

According to the Idaho Business Review, the list highlights individuals “driving innovation, creating jobs, building communities, and making Idaho a better place to live and work.”

Pemberton was named in the education category for her leadership at LC State, particularly in strengthening the college’s role as a regional hub for healthcare education. She has served as president since 2018 and is the third woman to lead one of Idaho’s four-year public institutions. Her academic background includes degrees from Willamette University, Southern Oregon University, and an Ed.D. from Portland State University.

Jones Hall was recognized in the agriculture category for her fundraising work at both LC State and the University of Idaho, as well as her recent participation in Leadership Idaho Agriculture Class 45. She joined LC State in 2021 after more than two decades at the University of Idaho, where she earned a degree in elementary education.

Three LC State alumni were also listed:
Amaya Aguirre-Landa, executive director of the Idaho Grain Producers Association, honored in the agriculture category.
Clay Haylett, commercial banking team lead with First Federal Bank in Nampa, named in the finance category.
Janice Jordan, CEO of Marimn Health in Plummer, recognized in the healthcare category.
