LEWISTON, ID – Lucy Teegarden became the fourth member of the 2026 LC State Women’s Basketball signing class, announced by coach Caelyn Orlandi on Monday. The Hermiston, Ore., native will join the Warriors in the fall along with Hali Anderson, Kiana Skogstad and Kaylee Cordle.

“Lucy is exactly the type of player that fits our system here,” Orlandi said. “She is long, athletic, can run the floor, and has the innate ability to score the basketball. She has a beautiful shot, can attack the basket and is an absolutely excellent rebounder. Her game is so smooth it looks effortless when she is on the court. She will make an immediate impact for us next season and I look forward to the strides she makes during her senior year of high school.”

Teegarden is a senior at Hermiston High School where she currently averages 13.9 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals per game. She is shooting 42.7% from the floor and ranked in the top 10 in scoring last season in the Mid-Columbia Conference. Teegarden was named Mid-Columbia Conference Honorable Mention after her junior year.

“I chose LC State because Coach Orlandi made me feel like part of the women’s basketball team the moment I arrived on my visit,” Teegarden said. “The girls on the team were so welcoming, and I instantly felt a sense of home from the coaches, the team and the community. LC State also has an amazing nursing program, which makes it the perfect fit for me both academically and athletically. Throughout my entire visit, I felt like I was surrounded by people who truly want me to succeed-on and off the court.”

“Who Lucy is off the court is so special as well,” Orlandi added. “She fits so well with our team and has the characteristics that women’s basketball strives to represent at all times. Her and her family were meant to be a part of our Warrior Basketball family here and I can’t express how excited we are that she is joining us next fall. She embodies all it means to be a student-athlete.”
