City Of Pullman Earmarked Large State Grant To Build Veterans Memorial Park-Grant Requires Park To Be Constructed By End Of 2027

PULLMAN, WA – The City of Pullman has been earmarked a large state grant to help fund the proposed Veterans Memorial Park if the park is built by the end of 2027.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program has awarded the city a half a million dollars for the park. The city applied for and received the maximum grant amount from the program’s Local Parks Category.

The project is estimated to cost 1.75 million dollars. About a million dollars in funds have now been secured through the grant and donations. The fundraising campaign is being led by the local American Legion Post 52. The grant requires that the park be built by the end of 2027.

Plans call for the Veterans Memorial Park to be constructed next to the City of Pullman Cemetery on the South end of town. You can find a link to donate to the project here
