OLYMPIA, WA — Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife will soon launch MyWDFW, a mobile app that allows hunters and anglers to buy licenses, display active privileges, and submit electronic harvest reports from their phones. The app is expected to go live ahead of the 2026 license year.

The free app will support electronic tagging for deer, elk, turkey, and black bear, along with migratory bird and end-of-season reporting. Most features will work offline, and officers will have access to an enforcement view.

WDFW Director Kelly Susewind said the new system is intended to modernize access and improve real-time data collection to support wildlife management.

Paper licenses will remain in place for 2025. Mobile licenses will become valid beginning April 1, 2026, with the department planning a gradual phaseout of durable paper stock. More information is available on WDFW’s website.
