LEWISTON, ID — The City of Lewiston Public Works Department is reminding residents that solid waste collection will shift next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be no collection services on Thursday, November 27, 2025, according to the department’s notice. Households with Thursday pickup will have their garbage collected one day later than usual.

The Lewiston Transfer Station and Clearwater Composting facilities will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Yard waste collection — including materials placed in green carts and plastic bags — will continue weekly through November and December. Beginning in January, yard waste will shift to once-a-month pickup, occurring on the first collection day of each month through February.
