ISP Seeks Witnesses, Video After Juvenile Killed in I-84 Crash Near Nampa

NAMPA, ID — Idaho State Police are asking the public for information, including any available video footage, related to a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday afternoon on westbound I-84 near milepost 39.

The crash happened at approximately 3:06 p.m. on November 25, when a 2007 GMC Sierra rear-ended a 2013 Ford F450 box truck. According to ISP, the Ford—driven by a 21-year-old Nampa man with an adult passenger—was traveling westbound when it was struck by the GMC, which was driven by a 31-year-old Meridian man carrying juvenile passengers.

One juvenile in the GMC died at the scene. Three additional occupants were transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. The occupants of the Ford were not injured.

Westbound lanes were blocked for about three hours while emergency crews responded. Agencies assisting included the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Paramedics, Nampa Fire Department, and the Idaho Transportation Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
