CLARKSTON, WA – The TriState Health Foundation will hold a MediaThon Fundraiser on Wednesday, December 10, to benefit TriState Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program. All proceeds from the event will support the training of new physicians in Eastern Washington.
The Family Medicine Residency Program, a partnership between TriState Health and Washington State University’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, aims to address the region’s severe shortage of physicians. Eastern Washington has just 183 doctors per 100,000 people, one of the lowest ratios in the country.
The residency program will provide hands-on, community-based training for medical residents while helping to ensure local families have access to high-quality healthcare close to home.
“By investing in the TriState Family Medicine Residency Program, you are helping to train and retain local doctors who will serve this region for decades to come,” said D’Lynn Ottmar, Chief Development Officer at TriState Health Foundation. “Every donation is important, and we are so grateful to the Lewis-Clark Valley community for helping make this dream a reality.”
The MediaThon will also include refreshments and tours of the new TriState Health Foundation office at 302 5th Street, Suite 3, Clarkston. Sponsors for this year’s MediaThon include D.A. Davidson, Edward Jones, Martin Insurance, and Twin City Electricians.
