ASOTIN COUNTY, WA — The Asotin County Fire Marshal has announced that the county’s fall controlled burning period is now closed as of 4 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025. The next permitted burning window is expected to open on April 1, 2026, depending on conditions.

Residents are encouraged to use the Asotin County Regional Landfill’s free yard-waste disposal program as a cleaner alternative to burning. Community members with questions can contact the landfill at 758-1965 or reach out to the Fire Marshal’s office.
