Fentanyl Bill Signed into Law

Today Governor Brad Little signed into law House Bill 406 which established mandatory minimum sentencing for Fentanyl trafficking.  Sheriff Robert “Bob” Norris along with the Idaho Sheriff’s Association (ISA) voted to support this legislation and heavily lobbied our legislators to vote yes in support of this bill.

“Ninety-nine percent of our Fentanyl in Kootenai County can be traced to the Southern Border.  Passing the Fentanyl bill today tells traffickers that the Idaho borders are closed for anyone transporting illegal drugs” according to Sheriff Norris.
Sheriff Norris and all of Idaho law enforcement thanks the Idaho legislators for taking a stand against drug trafficking in our state.
Sheriff Robert B. Norris
