Pullman Area Man Burned in Cooking Fire

PULLMAN, WA – A Pullman area man has been sent to a Seattle hospital for burns that he sustained in a cooking fire on Sunday afternoon.
Whitman County Fire District 12 Volunteers out of Pullman and Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a fire at the trailer court on Pullman Albion Road around 12:30. There was no fire by the time volunteers arrived and the victim had already gone to the hospital in a private vehicle. Volunteers believe the man was cooking with oil in a pan which caught fire and he spilled some burning oil onto himself when he tried to take the pan outside. D12 officials say the man has been transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
