BOISE, ID — Authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Boise following a welfare check on Monday afternoon.

According to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence in the 6000 block of S. Brian Way at approximately 4:00 p.m. on June 23, 2025. Inside the home, deputies discovered two individuals—an adult male and his mother—both deceased from gunshot wounds.

Detectives believe the male subject shot his mother before taking his own life. The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release the official cause and manner of death, as well as the names of the deceased.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information has been released.
