ELK CITY, ID – Avista has announced a planned power outage for approximately 708 electric customers in Elk City and Dixie on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The outage is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.

The outage is necessary to allow Avista crews to replace aging infrastructure, including power poles and equipment. These upgrades are part of the utility’s ongoing commitment to improving the safety and reliability of its electric service.

All affected customers have been notified in advance. Lane closures are expected on Highway 14 between mileposts 34 and 35 during the work, and traffic control will be in place.
