BOISE, ID – Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit has secured a conviction in a recent child exploitation case.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, 33-year-old Tyler B. White of Pocatello pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child sexually exploitative material. The plea was entered in Bannock County District Court.
White was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with three years fixed and the remaining seven indeterminate. He will be required to register as a sex offender and undergo treatment during incarceration.
The investigation began after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted law enforcement to child sexual abuse material linked to White. The case was investigated by the Idaho ICAC Unit, a statewide task force of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies dedicated to protecting children from online predators.
Attorney General Labrador said in a statement that his office remains committed to pursuing child exploitation cases aggressively to ensure the safety of Idaho’s children.
