Free Prostate Cancer Screening Clinic Set for September in Pullman

PULLMAN, WA — Pullman Regional Hospital’s Palouse Urology Center will host its 28th Annual Prostate Cancer Screening and Exam Clinic on Tuesday, September 16. The free clinic, led by Dr. John Keizur, will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the center, located at 825 SE Bishop Blvd., Suite 101.

The screening includes a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test taken on-site and an optional exam to help identify early signs of prostate cancer. No fasting is required, and no appointments are necessary. Annual prostate cancer screenings are recommended for men over 50, as well as for men 40 and older with a family history of the disease.

“This is an annual reminder to stay on top of your health,” Dr. Keizur said. “When it comes to your health and urology, don’t put it off, especially if you’re over the age of 50. This simple blood test and exam can mean early detection of prostate cancer. Early detection almost always means better outcomes”.

Dr. Keizur, a board-certified urologist, founded Palouse Urology in 1996 and treats a wide range of conditions including kidney stones, bladder and kidney infections, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and low testosterone. He also performs minimally invasive surgeries using da Vinci robotic technology.
