DUSTY, WA — Six people were injured Friday afternoon in a crash on State Route 127 about four miles south of Dusty, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said the vehicle was traveling southbound around 4:30 p.m. when it left the roadway near milepost 23, struck an embankment, and collided with a driveway.
Investigators determined distracted driving caused the crash. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
The driver was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital and cited for negligent driving in the second degree. Two passengers were airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, while three others were transported to Pullman Regional Hospital.
The vehicle, a white 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, was totaled and towed from the scene. The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate.
