LEWISTON, ID – The Nez Perce County Road and Bridge Department announced that the Palmer Parking recreation area at 42415 Waha Road will be closed to public access from October 22 through October 31, 2025.

According to the county, the closure will allow contractors and county crews to complete several site upgrades, including the installation of a new vault-style restroom, the development of an equestrian area, and the addition of handicap-accessible surfacing.

For public safety, all parking and access to the site will be restricted during the closure period. The area will be monitored by law enforcement, and vehicles that ignore the closure will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
