CLARKSTON, WA – A Clarkston woman has been arrested after investigators said she conspired with an inmate to deliver and sell prescription drugs outside the jail, according to court documents filed in Asotin County Superior Court.

According to police, 49-year-old Danette Michelle Cutshall is accused of working with a jail inmate who directed her and others to fill his prescriptions and arrange sales of the medication. The investigation began after deputies reviewed recorded jail phone calls made between October 28 and October 30, which investigators say revealed a coordinated effort to distribute controlled substances.

Court documents state that Cutshall agreed to pick up the inmate’s prescriptions from a third party and deliver them to others in exchange for a portion of the proceeds. The recordings reportedly included discussions about pill quantities, pricing, and intended buyers. Investigators said the medications included several bottles containing controlled substances such as Clonazepam and Dextroamphetamine.

Deputies later recovered the medications after one of the involved individuals turned them over to law enforcement. The bottles were logged as evidence and confirmed to contain both prescription and controlled medications.

When questioned by police, Cutshall admitted to having conversations with the inmate about retrieving the medication and acknowledged sending a message arranging the pickup, according to court documents. She told investigators she had initially agreed to help but later tried to back out.

Based on the evidence, investigators concluded that Cutshall participated in a plan to deliver and sell the inmate’s prescribed narcotics. She was arrested on November 1 and booked into the Asotin County Jail on charges of conspiracy and delivery of controlled substances.

The case remains under review by the Asotin County Prosecutor’s Office.
