REXBURG, ID— A Sugar City man has been arrested following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation initiated by a CyberTip, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives began investigating the CyberTip on Oct. 31, 2025, after it was forwarded by the Idaho Attorney General’s Office ICAC Task Force. The investigation led to a residential search warrant executed on Jan. 7, 2026, at a home in Sugar City.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Idaho ICAC Task Force, which includes investigators from the Rexburg Police Department, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Chubbuck Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho Falls Police Department.
On the same day the warrant was served, detectives arrested 29-year-old Jacob Morris of Sugar City. Morris is facing 10 counts of possession of sexually exploitative material, according to the sheriff’s office.
Court records indicate Morris was arraigned Jan. 8, 2026, in Madison County Court, where bond was set at $300,000.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
