Ventura Foods Recalls Peanut Butter Products Distributed to Idaho, Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A voluntary recall has been issued for several single-serve peanut butter and peanut butter-and-jelly products distributed nationwide, including in Idaho and Washington, due to possible foreign material contamination.

According to an Enforcement Report, California-based Ventura Foods LLC initiated the recall on April 30, 2025. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration later classified the action as a Class II recall on Feb. 12, 2026, meaning use of the product may cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences.

The recall involves multiple creamy peanut butter products in 0.5-ounce, 0.75-ounce, and 1.12-ounce packages sold under several brand names and distributed by companies including US Foods, Dyma Brands, Sysco Corporation, Gordon Food Service, and others. Also included are peanut butter paired with grape jelly or strawberry jam in 2.12-ounce “Poco Pac” packages.

The products were shipped to more than 40 states, including Idaho and Washington.

The recall was initiated after the firm discovered pieces of blue plastic in a production filter, raising concerns about potential foreign material in affected lots.

More than 17,000 cases of 0.75-ounce packages, along with thousands of additional cases in other sizes, are included in the recall.

No press release was issued for the recall, and the event remains ongoing, according to the report.

Consumers and businesses are advised to check lot numbers against the recall information and avoid using affected products.
