MOSCOW, ID – A 54-year-old Moscow man has been arrested on a felony charge for allegedly enticing a child over the internet.
The case stems from an undercover operation conducted by the Latah County Sheriff’s Office. A detective posed as a 14-year-old girl on Facebook. According to court documents, Steven Fisher allegedly began messaging the fake profile and tried to entice what he thought was an underage girl into sexual activity.
The messages include Fisher reportedly sending images of his penis after he asked the girl if she was a cop, and the undercover officer posing as the girl said no. Fisher was arrested by deputies on Friday as they were executing a search warrant at his home. He reportedly admitted to the child enticement and his plans for trying to meet the girl.
Fisher has been charged with felony enticing a child through the use of the internet. He made his initial appearance in Latah County Second District Court in Moscow on Monday and is set to be back in court next week. Fisher remains in the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Lewiston.
