LEWISTON, ID — Construction is set to begin Monday on a stormwater improvement project in the 2600 block of Meadowlark Drive, according to the City of Lewiston Public Works Department.
The city has contracted with Brian McDermott Construction to complete drainage upgrades aimed at reducing stormwater runoff and preventing erosion to nearby properties.
Work will include installing a new catch basin inlet, adding two hooded catch basin grates, replacing an existing inlet, and reconstructing sections of curb, gutter, and asphalt.
Construction is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Minor traffic impacts are anticipated, including shoulder closures and intermittent delays as trucks enter and exit the roadway.
City officials say schedules could change due to unforeseen conditions and are asking for public patience during the project.
