Vehicle burglaries in Lewiston’s Country Club area lead to arrest of Clarkston man

LEWISTON, ID — A Clarkston man has been arrested in connection to a series of vehicle burglaries reported in Lewiston earlier this month, according to the Lewiston Police Department.

Police say officers responded April 22 to multiple reports of vehicles being unlawfully entered in the Country Club area during the early morning hours. Approximately six vehicles were reported burglarized, with various items taken.

During the investigation, a Lewiston Police detective canvassed the neighborhood and reviewed home security footage. The footage reportedly showed a light-colored SUV-type vehicle and a male subject believed to be connected to the incidents. Using the department’s license plate reader system, officers identified a vehicle of interest as a Subaru Crosstrek with Washington registration.

Later that day, the vehicle was located in Clarkston. With assistance from Clarkston Police, officers attempted to contact a person associated with the vehicle. According to police, the individual fled on foot but was taken into custody after a short pursuit.

The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Immanuel Jackson of Clarkston. Police say items reported stolen from the Lewiston burglaries were visible inside the vehicle.

Jackson was arrested on multiple charges, and the vehicle was secured as part of the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Lewiston Police Detective James Allen at 208-746-0171.

Police also reminded residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables when parked and unattended to help prevent similar incidents.
