MOSCOW, ID — The Latah County Sheriff’s Office will take part in the annual “Bagging for Bucks” fundraiser on Monday, March 23, raising money to support Special Olympics Idaho programs.
Deputies and staff will assist shoppers by bagging groceries while collecting donations at checkout. The fundraiser aims to support year-round sports training and competitions for individuals with intellectual disabilities, along with access to health screenings such as vision, dental, and hearing services.
Organizers say the program often provides the only structured athletic opportunities available for many participants, while also helping build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.
Community members can support the effort by shopping during the event, donating at checkout, using a QR code, or sharing information about the fundraiser.
