LEWISTON, ID – Spring chinook salmon fishing on the Lower Clearwater River in Idaho has ended.
Idaho Fish and Game announced this morning that the springer fishing season on the Clearwater below the Cherrylane Bridge has closed early.
Limits for the Clearwater upriver and its Middle Fork for spring chinook salmon have been reduced to one adult per day and three in possession. The new restrictions on springer fishing in Idaho comes as the run is arriving smaller than initial predictions.
