LEWISTON, ID — All six graduating seniors from the Lewiston High School Bengal Cheer program have signed to continue competing at the collegiate level, marking what the program believes is a first for the school.
According to information provided by Bengal Cheer, five seniors signed with college cheer programs while one student-athlete signed to compete in track and field.
The signees include:
- Hunter Harrell — Lewis-Clark State College Cheer
- Natalie Witt — Lewis-Clark State College Cheer
- Kyla Nesset — Lewis-Clark State College Cheer
- Savannah Gonzales — Lewis-Clark State College Cheer
- Kadynce Scott — University of Idaho Cheer
- Aliah Winterbottom — Lewis-Clark State College Track and Field
Bengal Cheer coach Sydnee Vial said the program has never had an entire senior class sign with college athletic programs before.
“We are the only program signing all of our seniors with a college program, to my knowledge,” Vial said.
