Master Gardener Diagnostic Plant Clinics Open in Lewiston

LEWISTON, ID — The University of Idaho Extension Nez Perce County has opened its Idaho Master Gardener Diagnostic Plant Clinics for the season, offering free gardening assistance to the public.

The clinics are held Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second and fourth Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nez Perce County Extension Office, located at 1239 Idaho St. in Lewiston.

Master Gardeners can help identify plant and garden insects, diagnose issues with trees, lawns and plants, provide soil recommendations and answer general gardening questions. Residents are encouraged to bring plant samples and photos to assist with diagnoses.

The extension office also accepts drop-off inquiries during regular office hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Idaho Master Gardener program is a volunteer-based program through University of Idaho Extension. Training for new Nez Perce County Master Gardeners is planned for this fall.
