(Clarkston, WA) Police say a man was allegedly shot and killed by his neighbor in Clarkston on Tuesday night.

According to the Clarkston Police Department, just before 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Ash St. in Clarkston for a report of a gunshot victim.

Officers arrived on scene within three minutes of the call to find a deceased male at the residence. Officers contacted a second male subject on scene who stated he had shot his neighbor during a dispute between the two men. The alleged shooter, 76-year-old David Earl Boyd, of Clarkston, was interviewed by police and subsequently arrested on a charge of Murder in the 2nd Degree.  He was booked into the Asotin County Jail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released at a later date.

The name of the deceased male has not yet been released.
