Moscow Police Investigate Report of Shotgun Fired at Intruder

MOSCOW, ID – A Moscow man told police that he fired a shotgun at an intruder in his backyard early Saturday morning.

Moscow Police were called to a home on Highland Drive in the Northeast part of town shortly after midnight. The man told officers that he saw an intruder in his backyard and confronted the individual. He reported that the person didn’t say anything and refused to show their hands and began moving toward the homeowner.

The man fired a shotgun at the intruder and apparently missed as the individual jumped the fence and disappeared. Moscow Police searched the area and were unable to find anything associated with the man’s report. The homeowner is under investigation for possibly firing a weapon illegally inside city limits.
