BOISE, ID – Nonprofit organizations across Idaho focused on hunger relief and healthy eating can now apply for grant funding through the Idaho Food Bank Fund. The 2025 grant cycle opens July 1 and will accept applications through July 31.
Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofits and may be used to support food distribution programs, nutrition education, or to expand capacity with items such as freezers, shelving, and transportation. Most awards range between $2,500 and $5,000.
Organizations do not need to be affiliated with the fund’s administering agencies—Catholic Charities of Idaho and The Idaho Foodbank—to qualify. Applications can be submitted online at idahofoodbankfund.org, or by requesting a hardcopy form via email at grants@idahofoodbankfund.org or by calling 208-336-9643.
In 2024, the fund distributed over $178,000 to 72 nonprofits throughout the state. Funding for the program comes from Idaho taxpayers who contribute voluntarily through a donation check-off on their state income tax return.
Grant recipients will be announced in early November.
