LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State Baseball mainstay Allen Balmer has been named the Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator, announced by coach Jeremiah Robbins on Thursday.
“I cannot be more excited to elevate Coach Balmer to the role of Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator,” Robbins said. “His tireless work for our student-athletes and the Warrior Baseball program is unmatched. Coach Balmer is a cornerstone of the program. Being reunited with him and the program is an opportunity that I will never take for granted. I am grateful to serve our student-athletes with this coaching staff. With Coach Silvestri, Coach Balderas and Coach Vial working side by side with Coach Balmer and myself, the future is bright for Warrior Nation.”
Balmer has been part of the Warrior program for decades and enters his 18th season as a coach in the 2026 season. A second-generation Warrior, his father Gary Balmer was a standout at LC State in the 1980s. Allen joined the team in 2002 and had a stellar four-year career that featured two national championships. He was named the Avista NAIA World Series MVP in 2006.
“I am truly blessed to be coaching at my alma mater doing what I love to do,” Balmer said. “I am very honored to receive my new title. I look forward to working even harder to make this a great experience for our student-athletes for years to come.”
Balmer joined the coaching staff in 2008 and is instrumental in both infielder and hitter instruction. He has led recruiting efforts for the Warriors since 2013, and during those years 17 players have been drafted in the MLB Draft. Two have gone on to play in the MLB in Seth Brown and Connor Brogdon. He assisted current head coach, Robbins, in three consecutive national titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
