LEWISTON, ID — The City of Lewiston has announced two upcoming temporary road closures that will affect traffic in the downtown area on September 18 and September 21.
City officials said the closures are part of coordinated operations and will remain in place for limited durations. Detour routes and signage will be posted in advance to assist motorists, while access for local residents and businesses may be accommodated when possible. The public is encouraged to allow for extra travel time and use alternate routes.
The first closure will take place on Thursday, September 18, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Main Street will be closed to through traffic from 5th Street to 9th Street. Normal traffic patterns will resume on Friday, September 19 at 6:00 a.m.

The second closure will occur on Sunday, September 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The following streets will be closed to through traffic:

7th Street, from Main Street to D Street

8th Street, from Main Street to D Street

F Street, from 5th Street to New 6th Street

These streets are scheduled to reopen by 7:00 p.m. on September 21.
